Taso Kostos

Instructor

Taso has been teaching at the professional level for over twenty five years. He is focusing on a complete curriculum at the Baltimore School for Drumming which includes reading music, hand and foot techniques, linear drumming, double bass drumming, as well many varied styles of playing. He also likes to prepare students for the professional aspects of drumming as a business. Whether your interest lies in studying to be a professional musician or as a creative hobby, lessons are always adapted specifically for the individual student. All lessons are designed to be fun and challenging.

Performing Experience

Taso has been playing professionally since the age of 15.
Playing all styles of music: Rock, Pop/Dance, R&B, Hip Hop, & jazz.
“Full House” ABC Television Performed on sitcom with John Stamos as the drummer for “Jesse and The Rippers”, as well as touring the country with his live show.

Composer/Engineer

Mixed and arranged music for feature films, music videos, and television soundtracks. Expert in drum and rhythmic programming utilizing samples and loops. Technical consultant to Luis Conte, Madonna’s premier percussionist.

Drum Maker

Worked in a wood shop manufacturing hand crafted instruments for Maryland Drum Co.
